Cassandra Brzezinski

Cassandra Brzezinski is an agile and creative public policy professional with more than a decade of experience advising senior policymakers on complex legislative and regulatory issues. She supports a broad portfolio spanning economic policy, housing, small business, trade, infrastructure, and oversight, along with a proven ability to advance policy objectives in challenging and fast-moving environments.

Most recently, Cassandra served as a Policy Advisor to Senator Chris Van Hollen, supporting his work as a senior member of the Senate Committee on Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs and advising on a wide range of domestic policy matters. In this role, she helped develop and advance policy initiatives, managed relationships with diverse stakeholders, and worked across party lines to identify shared priorities and deliver results.

Prior to her work in the Senate, Cassandra held senior roles in the U.S. House of Representatives. As Legislative Director to Congresswoman Carolyn Maloney, she led legislative strategy and committee work while aligning policy priorities with the Congresswoman’s responsibilities as Chair of the House Oversight Committee. Earlier, as a Legislative Assistant to Representative Sylvia Garcia, she led policy work across multiple issue areas, including economic development, energy, and infrastructure, collaborating across the aisle to secure federal support for major regional priorities.

Cassandra began her career with Senator Joe Donnelly and later served in leadership roles at a national trade association, where she directed public policy and advocacy efforts and engaged extensively with Congress and external partners. This experience strengthened her ability to translate complex policy challenges into practical strategies for a wide range of stakeholders.

She brings a strong analytical foundation, deep institutional knowledge of Congress, and a pragmatic approach to helping clients navigate federal policymaking, stakeholder engagement, and evolving policy landscapes.

In her free time, Cassandra enjoys spending time with her husband, baby, and their senior beagle, Reggie.
