PRESS RELEASE: Cassandra Brzezinski Joins Mindset as Senior Director to Strengthen Capitol Hill Engagement and Strategic Advocacy

Washington, D.C. — Mindset, a bipartisan public policy consultancy based in Washington, D.C., announced today that Cassandra Brzezinski has joined the firm as Senior Director. Brzezinski brings a strong commitment to public service and stakeholder advocacy, along with extensive Capitol Hill experience in both the U.S. Senate and House of Representatives. Her work supporting the Senate Banking Committee, combined with senior House leadership experience, gives her a deep understanding of the legislative process and bipartisan, bicameral dynamics across a range of issue areas, including banking, tax, trade, commerce, and financial services.

Prior to joining Mindset, Brzezinski served as a Policy Advisor in the Office of Senator Chris Van Hollen (D-MD), a prominent member of the Senate Committee on Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs. In this role, she led the Senator’s work on financial services, trade, small business, and housing issues, managing policy priorities and engaging with key stakeholders.

Before that, Brzezinski served as the Legislative Director for Congresswoman Carolyn Maloney (D-NY-12), where she oversaw legislative strategy and all work pertaining to the Congresswoman’s role on the House Committee on Financial Services. She has also worked at NDP Analytics and served as Policy Director for the Community Development Bankers Association, the leading trade association for CDFI banks.

Brzezinski holds a Master of Science in Applied Economics from the University of Maryland–College Park and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Economics from the University of Alabama–Tuscaloosa.
