Sophia is an Executive Assistant who brings a fast-paced, high-stakes background in government, corporate affairs, and campaigns to support firm leadership with precision and efficiency.
Sophia Gonzalez serves as an Executive Assistant at Mindset, where she manages complex scheduling and logistics for senior leadership. A proud Georgian, she brings both warmth and tenacity to her work, with a reputation for getting things done in fast-moving environments.
Prior to joining Mindset, Sophia built a strong foundation in public service and political operations. She served in two U.S. Senate offices, first for Senator Kirsten Gillibrand and most recently as Deputy Director of Scheduling and Assistant to the Chief of Staff for Senator Jon Ossoff. In this role, she managed high-level scheduling, coordinated logistics for the Senator and senior staff, and supported the execution of strategic priorities. Sophia also played an integral role in staffing Senator Ossoff’s campaigns, beginning in 2017, gaining valuable experience in political operations and stakeholder engagement.
Sophia later transitioned to the private sector, serving as Manager of Government Affairs at iHeartMedia. There, she directly engaged with congressional offices on an array of related policy areas and oversaw departmental operations and logistics, further strengthening her understanding of the government relations and advocacy landscape.
Earlier in her career, Sophia worked as an Event Planner and Wedding Coordinator with Events of a Lifetime Productions in Atlanta, executing a wide range of events—including corporate, charitable, and production shoots—sharpening her attention to detail and ability to deliver under pressure.
Sophia earned her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, with a minor in Criminal Justice, from Georgia College.
Sophia’s hidden talent: She has a passion for vintage jewelry and runs a small side venture sourcing and selling unique pieces.
