With a background in both the House and the Senate, along with public policy experience, Kia brings a unique set of skills and expertise to the Mindset team.
Prior to joining Mindset, Kia served as the Director of Scheduling for Senator Lisa Blunt Rochester (D-DE). After working as her Scheduler in the House of Representatives, Kia moved with her to the Senate. During this time, she assisted with the transition and stood up the Senator’s scheduling operation. She led and managed the scheduling team and oversaw all daily and long-term planning for the Senator. She also served as a foreign policy graduate intern for Senator Durbin (D-IL) and the House Foreign Affairs Committee while pursuing her MPP at Georgetown University.
Before her time in Washington, DC, Kia taught high school history and English in the Chicago suburbs, and served as a Fulbright English Teaching Assistant in Osijek, Croatia.
