Chief Counsel for House Committee on Financial Services, Lisa Peto, joins Mindset.

Cypress Group rebrands as Mindset, expanding services and staff.

Mindset today announced that Lisa Peto will join the firm as Principal. Lisa most recently served as Chief Counsel of the House Committee on Financial Services under Chairwoman Maxine Waters (D-CA). Last week, The Cypress Group rebranded as Mindset, and the addition of Peto is an important step in expanding its work on issues that will be at the center of the policy debate in 2021 and beyond.

Lisa brings broad and deep substantive knowledge and is widely respected by leaders across the political spectrum. As a leader for one of the most important committees in Congress, Lisa made an impact on crucial issues involving finance, housing, and the economy. We are proud to have Lisa on the team and know she will help address the challenges and opportunities our clients encounter in Washington.

Bridget Hagan, Partner

In her work with the House Financial Services Committee, Lisa played a leading role in the legislative process. She was responsible for managing Committee markups, hearings, and floor activity, and developing and executing the Committee’s legislative agenda. Lisa also advised Members on committee process and House Rules and oversaw the Committee’s Member services and legislative operations. Lisa will now play a crucial role in Mindset’s growing financial services and housing practice.

I am thrilled to join Mindset as it looks to bring a fresh new perspective and make an even greater impact for its clients. The firm’s dedication to doing things differently and its bipartisan approach in this dynamic political moment will allow us to deliver creative and lasting solutions as we engage a new Congress.
