One key to Mindset’s success is leveraging a whole team approach to deliver for clients - understanding the policy landscape, addressing complex problems, and providing actionable insights and strategies.

Gary is a policy strategist with extensive experience in both the public and private sectors primarily focused on financial services. He closely follows legislative and regulatory developments and crafts strategic approaches to the dynamic policy environment.

With over fifteen years of experience in the financial services sector serving in key policy roles at the Treasury Department, Federal Reserve, Securities and Exchange Commission and most recently at Wells Fargo, Gary has guided senior policymakers and business leaders on a wide variety of issues including prudential regulation, financial stability, market infrastructure, and consumer protection.  Gary offers a deep understanding of how laws and regulations are created and implemented.  He develops deep partnerships in order to provide advice on business strategy, risk analysis, and how potential policy scenarios impact projections.

During his time in government, Gary worked on several rulemakings, led and participated on numerous bank exams, conducted research, and presented assessments to key decision-making committees.  During his time in the private sector, Gary worked closely with lines of business, and corporate function divisions including finance, risk, and public affairs to address complex regulatory issues.

Gary has a Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) degree from Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business, a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from New York Law School, and a Bachelor’s (B.A.) degree from Brandeis University.

Gary’s hidden talent: He enjoys traveling and cooking.
