Alex Barcham

Alex is an experienced professional who has spent more than 15 years working on Capitol Hill and in government relations.

With an extensive background in financial services, Alex covers emerging issues in the insurance, capital markets, and ESG arenas. He provides research and analysis on developments in the legislative and regulatory spaces, including hearing and legislative summaries. He is a dedicated problem solver with a knack for homing in on key issues of focus for clients.

Prior to joining Mindset, Alex served as Senior Director of Government Relations at a large public policy firm, focusing on financial services, tax, and trade issues. In this role, he oversaw the firm’s research team and provided comprehensive monitoring of the congressional agenda. He previously worked in the office of Congressman Steve Israel (D-NY), who was a member of the House Financial Services Committee.

Alex holds an AB in Political Science, with minors in Business and Psychology, from Washington University in St. Louis.
