Mindset Promotes Chris Brown and Lisa Peto to Partners; Consultancy Continues to Invest in Bipartisan Growth
Mindset, a bipartisan public policy consultancy based in Washington, D.C., announced today the promotion of Chris Brown and Lisa Peto to Partners. Both individuals previously served as Principals at Mindset, working to meet the growing demands of clients across a broad range of sectors.

Brown has contributed greatly to Mindset’s reputation for policy substance and hustle, adding depth in banking, insurance, and financial services more broadly. He is also an astute observer of the motivations and priorities of Republicans in leadership, and on the Financial Services and Banking Committees, among others, proving himself a key strategic advisor to advocacy and advisory clients alike. Before joining Mindset, Brown accumulated more than 15 years of public policy experience in the executive and legislative branches, most recently working for House Financial Services Committee Ranking Member Patrick McHenry (R-NC), overseeing policy matters in financial institutions and consumer credit. Brown also has robust experience in the energy, agriculture, small business, and transportation sectors, having spent more than a decade in Congressman Blaine Luetkemeyer’s office (R-MO), and in posts at the White House, the Environmental Protection Agency, Department of Energy and the Department of the Interior.
Since joining Mindset, Peto has continually showcased a deep understanding of the Biden Administration and a Democratic-led Congress, providing relevant, results-focused strategic counsel for Mindset’s clients. With experience in the executive branch and on Capitol Hill, she has added substantive insights for clients on issues before the Securities and Exchange Commission, the Department of Housing and Urban Development, the Department of Labor, the Treasury Department, and other executive agencies and Cabinet Departments, while also proving herself adept at navigating the Financial Services, Small Business, and Banking Committees among others on Capitol Hill. Immediately prior to joining Mindset, Peto served as the Chief Counsel for the House Financial Services Committee under Chairwoman Maxine Waters (D-CA). In this role, she served as a primary advisor to the congresswoman, managed floor activity, and led policy matters in insurance and housing, among other duties including serving as a liaison to other key committees across the Capitol in the House and Senate. As Peto steps into her new role as Partner, we look forward to her continuing to contribute her wealth of experience in financial services policy, her strategic mindset, and her strong organizational skills to the company and our clients.
