Chris Brown joins Mindset as Principal.
Mindset, a Washington, DC-based bipartisan strategic advisory and advocacy firm today announced that Chris Brown will join the firm as a Principal. Chris currently serves as Senior Professional Staff for House Financial Services Committee Ranking Member Patrick McHenry (R-NC).
Chris’s deep expertise, far-reaching relationships, and long record of government service will be invaluable to each and every Mindset client. Chris shares our belief that the best way to serve our clients is to dig into the substance of their issues and combine that knowledge with keen political sense and credible intelligence to produce results. Chris brings 15 years of legislative and policy experience on Capitol Hill and in the Executive branch in several sectors, including financial services, energy, and the environment. In early 2019 he joined Congressman McHenry’s team on the Financial Services Committee, where he oversees all financial institutions and consumer credit policy matters.
Prior to working for Rep. McHenry, Chris spent nearly a decade in the office of Congressman Blaine Luetkemeyer (R-MO), rising to be his Deputy Chief of Staff and Financial Services Committee Designee during Luetkemeyer’s chairmanship of the Subcommittee on Financial Institutions and Consumer Credit. He also handled Congressman Luetkemeyer’s assignment as a member of the Subcommittee on Housing and Insurance, which Luetkemeyer chaired in the 114th Congress.
In addition to his service on Capitol Hill, Chris served a variety of roles in the George W. Bush Administration, including at the White House, the Environmental Protection Agency, and the Department of the Interior.
