Paid Internship

Mindset provides paid internships for individuals seeking to gain hands-on experience in the field of public policy.

The ideal candidate is a self-starter with strong written communications skills and a career interest in public policy. The intern would work with the research team on a broad range of regulatory and legislative issues for a variety of clients.

Specific tasks may include:

• Watch congressional hearings and provide reports to internal staff and interested clients;
• Monitor legislative and regulatory issues of interest and provide real-time updates;
• Draft client-facing written deliverables such as policy backgrounders, legislative side-by-side comparisons, and policy outlook analyses; and
• Analyze risks and opportunities for clients related to the new administration.

The start and end dates for the internship are negotiable. We host paid internships over three sessions per year as outlined below.

• Spring (January – May)
• Summer (June – August)
• Fall (September – December)

Interns must be located in Washington D.C., Maryland, or Virginia or must be able to relocate to the area prior to start date.

This is a full-time role and interns are expected to be available from Monday – Friday 9-6pm.
